  As has been the norm, Bastion has come through again. This is not my first experience w/ Bastion but, unfortunately, it might be the last because they have essentially re-floored my entire house over the years!! This time was a wall-to-wall carpeting and all went well from ordering to finishing the installment. I do recommend working w/ them

  Treated extremely poorly here. Went to get a quote on a type of nylon carpet while the store was empty. The salesman was extremely rude and made us feel stupid for not knowing polyester was nicer carpet. When we asked him to try and find a carpet we wanted, he said it couldn't be done, and we asked why, and he answered it's not possible. He then said "WE'RE DONE HERE" and literally walked away while we were standing here. What a joke of a store. What kind of salesman would do that?

  We just used Bastian Carpet One for the first time since the early 1990's. We had a very bad experience when we used them in the 90's. Rolling the clock forward over 20 years, I am amazed at the totally different and very positive experience we just had with them. In early September of this year, my wife and I began shopping around for about 750 sf of new carpeting for our basement family room. I still had such a negative impression of Bastian from our experience in the 90's that I wasn't even going to consider them, even though they were the nearest full service carpet retailer to our home. We only decided to shop there because of a sales flyer we received from them after we had started shopping around. To our surprise, our entire experience was excellent. The sales woman who helped us was very knowledgeable and helpful.. She answered all of our questions and helped us select the rug that we ultimately purchased. The individual who came to our home to get the room layout and measurements for their estimate was equally professional. Today the new carpet and padding was installed by two very friendly and courteous installers who did an excellent job of removing the old carpet, installing the new padding and carpet and cleaning up when they were finished. I would not hesitate to buy flooring products from Bastian Carpet One again or to recommend them to family and friends.
